The duo will appear at the Funky Buddha nightclub in Robertson Street on Saturday, April 5. It will be the first time the Manchester-based drag act have performed on the south coast, and are bound to draw in the crowds. When Mark, a teacher, asked builder’s yard worker Stuart if he fancied forming a drag act, Stuart really wasn’t keen but with a bit of gentle persuasion he was convinced and Brenda and Bernie were born. The Bosom Buddies shot to fame after getting four Yes votes during the heats of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent in 2013. They sang Time To Say Goodbye by classical singer Andrea Bocelli, wearing jewelled hot pink dresses and sitting on flower-entwined swings.
