VIDEO: Work starts on Littlehaven Railway Station upgrades
Work started on a £4.5m upgrade to Littlehaven Railway Station at the weekend.
Network Rail are planning to lengthen the platforms to allow for passengers to embark from eight carriages, compared to the current four, and work is hoped to be completed by April 2014.
It has said that the station will remain fully operational during construction.

Hide AdNorman Saxby, who lives in Treadcroft Drive behind the station, said: “They have planned it really well and they know what they are doing.”
He said he had not heard any noise from the work, which started on Saturday,
