Brothers raised £24,000 in memory of dad
Tom Beckett, nine, and his eight-year-old brother Joe, who live in Battle, have helped raise money for several charities since their dad took his own life last year.
The siblings, who attend Battle and Langton CE Primary School, were supported by Hastings-based charity Dragonflies, which helps children who have suffered a bereavement.

Tom and Joe’s mum, Katie, said: “I’m so proud of my boys.
“They’ve helped me set up a fundraising body called Out of the Blue in memory of their dad, which helps raise money for three charities - Dragonflies, Beachy Head Chaplaincy and Winston’s Wish.
“The boys are keen to be involved and have assisted with several charity events.
“Dragonflies was really helpful for them as it showed them that they’re not the only ones to suffer from a bereavement.”

“They’ve suffered a devastating loss, but despite this, have wanted to help other children in similar situations and have done so much for charity.
