This month is almost gone already, and Christmas is but a month away. Now there's a thought; but after Christmas comes a New Year, and then spring. Here I go again, wishing my life away.
The young heifers are still running out at Tillington, having the luxurious choice of staying in the shed, or going out; eating grass silage or hay, and concentrates of course, or going out to graze. I expect they can do this until the end of the month, and then we will need to rest the grass and let it grow for the early spring.

Hide AdWe will be taking our three new Aberdeen Angus bulls over to meet them this week. Stocky little fellows, full of life and looking for a good time. Having synchronised the heifers, there will be an awful lot of good time to be had when many of them come on heat at the same time. I sincerely hope that at least half or more will have held to the artificial inseminations last week.
