EXCLUSIVE: Cabinet member says he could rebel over 2,500 homes plan
Just days before consultation on the draft housing strategy closes a councillor has become the first cabinet member to publicly oppose proposals for 2,500 homes north of Horsham.
Andrew Baldwin (Con, Holbrook East), Horsham District Council’s cabinet member for the environment, emailed a constituent tand said: “I can assure you I will not vote for any proposal for development north of the A264.”
Mr Baldwin is the first cabinet member to publicly break ranks over HDC’s preferred housing strategy.
