Chairman Gill Davey said: “It was a great day. There were 40 arrangements and we had all different sections.
“We have been going for 60 years and we have a competition every 15 months, so that it comes in different parts of the year.”

Hide AdCharm and Delight was the petite class, where arrangements must be no more than nine inches high.
The Good Enough to Eat class asked entrants to make a ‘cake’ out of leaves and flowers.
Sparkling Aquaflora was the water class and Say it With Flowers was for beginners.
The novice class, Woodland Discoveries, was open to people who had not won a cup or anything of that level before.

Hide AdArea judge Jenny Coxshead was adjudicating for the fifth year.
Gill said: “She talked to us about the arrangements after she had judged them. She spoke about each one and what she thought about it, which was nice as it helps us to understand and get ideas.”
Winners were:
Charm and Delight, Helen Taylor.
Good Enough to Eat, Annette Quelch.
Diamond Anniversary, Vee Barton.
Sparkling Aquaflora, Helen Taylor.
Woodland Discoveries, Theresa Hanley.
Say it With Flowers, Theresa Hanley.
Gill said: “Theresa is a beginner and we are always looking for new members, so it was nice to see her win two prizes.”
The club meets on Monday afternoons.
