NCP apologise for misleading parking notice in Worthing
Wayne Hoban, 61, of Arlington Avenue, in Goring, was unable to use the change in his pocket to pay for parking in the Union Place car park, ran by National Car Parks (NCP) in Worthing, on Monday.
A notice on the meter stated that new five and 10 pence coins would not be accepted and change would not be given.

“All the small change I had was in new coins. It hugely inconvenienced me. I think it is unreasonable not to give Worthing residents a choice when they get to a carpark especially as the meter states it takes all other silver coins.
“I would like to know when the carpark is going to change the meters so that people can use the change in their pockets.”
