TOO FAST IN VILLAGES
The countryside campaigners are calling for an amendment to the Government's Road Safety Bill, now going through Parliament, which would introduce a national 30 mph default speed limit for villages.
This amendment is soon to be debated in the House of Lords.
The CPRE undertook a telephone survey of County Council Highways Departments between June and September 2005.
