A man was rescued from his first floor flat in the Fairfields block, on Broadwater Road, around 9.30am this morning. Fire crews from Worthing, Shoreham and Lancing, are still at the scene and have evacuated the block. It is thought the fire was contained to the one flat, but firefighters have been searching the block to make sure no-one else is inside.
