A Hastings man has been called ‘a beautiful soul’ for fixing an A&E nurse’s car windows for free after they were smashed during a break-in while she worked a 12 hour shift.

Emily Murphy, 24, had just finished work at Worthing Hospital last Thursday when she found that her car windows had been smashed, and her coat and prescription glasses had been stolen.

She had left a note on her windscreen saying she was an NHS nurse so that she could get a free parking space offered to NHS staff at the hospital car park during the coronavirus pandemic.
